Friday Five Favs - So, tell me.....
What are your five favorite material possessions?
These are mine:
- Family photos
- A small bust of a Dutch girl reading a book (it was my great-grandmother's)
- A gold anchor bracelet my husband gave me years and years ago (I never take it off)
- The first piece of jewelry my grandfather gave my grandmother on her 16th birthday (also a bracelet)
- Treasured books.
How about you??

OK gotta think about this :)
Your gold anchor bracelet is so sweet!
OK Lynda, I have a brilliant submission posted!
OH, Material Possessions!!!!! I originally read that as marital passions, and was going to ask if you REALLY wanted to know? ;)
Photos of course, My wedding ring, my iPod touch, my cameras, my computer.
(1) My photo scrapbooks. They are the first material articles that would come out of the house if the smoke alarms were to go off.
(2) My Willow Tree Angel Collection.
(3) My "Bear Bryant" book-ends. They were my dad's.
(4) Ceramic Christmas ornaments handpainted by my Momma.
(5) My museum-mounted framed "Charles Frace" print of "The Cougar."
1. The letters taped on the back of my door (they count as one, right?).
2. My cedar chest (was my great grandmother's).
3. My laptop...hey, it's still new!
4. My books, or at least some of them.
5. My journals.
Do kids count as "material" possessions? Otherwise, I'd say:
1. Family Fotos...natch!
2. My MIL's antiques.
3. My back deck...especially this time of year.
4. The plants in my garden...or, just my garden at large. So much dinero invested, it HAS to be material!
5. My Camry. Up to almost 100K miles, headed to infinity and beyond!
BTW, don't forget to swing by and celebrate Sx3 with me today. A Tar-Jay Gift Card is at stake!
Hmmmmmmmm...So many things to choose, so little time. My photos would definitely be on the list. My Mom's 1951 Tiffany diamond would be another. My Amish quilt, ditto. And you're sure my people don't count as "possessions"?
