Five Friday Favorites - Glass

Friday again? Yes, indeed, and it's time to play Five Friday Favs. Today, it's glass items. What are your favorites?

These are mine:

1. My specs! No, I don't wear John Lennon or Benjamin Franklin glasses (okay, close), but I love my glasses. No contacts for me.

2. My mom's china. She gave it to me. It's the Easterling Celestial pattern, which, of course, is no longer made. She got it in 1957 - ultra-mod, don't you think? At least, Jeston-esque.

3. Sea Glass... found on the beach, worn smooth by the surf. You'll find plenty of brown glass, but it's these colors that are the treasures.

4. Stained Glass... beautiful!

5. Last, but not least, blown glass. And when it's an ornament, too? Bonus!!

So, what about YOU? Let us know!

Oh, how do I post pics?? Ok, I love Blue and White China with delicate flowers. I love BIG Christmas Balls that are from the fiftys and sixties. I love Beveled Glass Mirrors. I could gaze for hours upon stain glass windows in different churches...especially in England, Scotland, and Ireland! I also love glass windows from the days of the pioneers.

I got my internets back, yay! Still having a joke fest.
I shall list my five favorite glass something here.
Um.
Well,
1) blue bottles!
2) the Guinness bottle has that classic shape!
3) blown glass stuff, simple green pieces or more complicated, wouldn't you love to try blowing glass?
4) one of our doors is very old and has old wavy glass windows
5) BLONDIE's heart of glass, HAHA!

Very cool images. The sea glass is especially interesting. I don't know that I could come up with 5 glass things that I really like although the Guinness bottle (and contents), than you Gary.
