Afternoon Delight

No, not THAT... (I wish!)

A delicious raspberry mango smoothy.

It came with my apple walnut salad I had today for lunch.

Now, isn't this an exciting post?

What did YOU have for lunch today??

Me? For lunch? Yours sounded mighty good.
I am embarrassed about what I had. becuase I go shopping tomorrow and I am trying to get rid of odds and ends in the fridge. ::burp!:::
But then? I was sitting there with our fat little kitten Emily, and next thing you know half an hour is GONE. What is it about lunch, working at home, and um, a nap 'cause we were out late? Then I had a triple espresso and walked the beagle over to the gun nuts' house on the opposite corner, came home and grabbed a cup of tea and now checking this and FINALLY, at 2:01, getting back to work....
(well LYNDA, you asked darlin', and I answered....)

I had a Thai Chicken salad from the Silver Diner.

You know, you can have that kind of afternoon delight, it just takes a bit of planning.

I had a Lean Cuisine chicken philly flatbread melt. I toasted it in the toaster oven and poured salsa on top with some side tortilla chips and salsa. It was very good actually. No, I didn't eat all of it, Eddie had the biggest majority as I still can't consume much, but what I did have was very appetizing. Sometimes it is all about the taste of something as opposed to how much or sometimes it's all in the crunch, so whatever it takes to satisfy my mind about feeling full and replenished is what I do now since the GBS surgery.

I just couldn't eat the lunch I packed, so I headed to Subway. Ham, bell peppers, onions, pickles, and ranch...yum yum!
