Three Years Old

My great-nephew, Charlie, turned 3 today. It was SO cute watching him enjoy every moment of his party.

When his parents drove up to Gigi's (my sister) house, he was amazed that someone tied a balloon to the mailbox - FOR HIM!

It just increased after that - every single thing was better than the last.

Wouldn't it be nice to have a completely great day like that right now?

OH! That is so cute. I love how little kids get excited by something as simple as a balloon!

My day was like that yesterday. My Dear Hubby was working all day and when my son called inviting me out to breakfast with him and his family I said yes, I'd love to. We sat in a booth with huge plate glass windows and every bus, truck, ambulance, dump truck, whatever that passed by was like it was a visual gift to my grandson Dylan. EVERYTHING thrilled him. Why oh why do we lose that childish wonder about how grand life is as we get older?!? I think we need it more NOW than we did THEN.
