Christmas Day is Almost Here & I Am Still Sick of Teenagers

I guess the title about sums it up for me.

This kid is wearing us out. Jerry has her at the doctor's office right now - they are doing an ultrasound to see if she has a gallbladder issue or not. She seems to have an upset stomach (in the gallbladder area) that won't go away. In my opinion, she's way too young for that, but what do I know?

Then, yesterday, she woke up with tonsil issues again. Made another appointment at 11:45am (different doctor, of course). She informed me this morning that she didn't need to go to the second doctor - she just has a cold.

It's the attitude. The superior intellect - she knows EVERYTHING about everything and is the ultimate determiner of what is right or wrong.

Ugh.

Merry Christmas.

Teens are a breed all their own and if I live to be 180 I will never figure them out

I know how it is, our beagle knows everything too ;^), but at least she is tiny and can be picked up or leashed. Too bad you can't put a leash on a teen or send them to the dog house....

Merry Christmas to you all, I hope she will be OK, and you too. I also hope you have a few days off together?

I am sick of teens also and mine is 23 now, but I'm still processing all the crap she put me through. I can only snicker gleefully that in March she is going to have one of her own and she will then soon realize what she put her ole' momma through all them years.

They all think they know more than we do, until they realize they don't. Hang in there!

Oh, gosh. I'm Teenager-Free for the next 2 weeks. Glory, Glory, Hallelujah! Of course, I don't count the College Kidz at home, who still act like babies, but that's another story!

Why don't parents ever get a little credit for having been on this earth for 20-30 years longer than they have.

The superiority bugs the crap out of me at times.

Day after Christmas...just checking in to see how things are going. I had my gall bladder removed in September and, believe me, when they go haywire, you KNOW it. Think of the worst pain you've ever experienced and add about 100 times to that and you've got it. That's interesting she has pains there at her age. I did, too, and continued to thruout my life 'til I had it removed at 54so I wonder if some of us have one that's going grouchy for years before it finally erupts into a full-scale attack? Considering my one gallstone was the size of a small chicken egg, my surgeon said it'd been growing in there for YEARS! I hope she's feeling better. And my grandson Dylan's been sick the entire week so I sympathize, tho at a 'smaller' level. Hope your Christmas was nice regardless.
