My kid...yes, the pretty one in the picture on the right....is SICK again! Ugh.
She is wearing me out. She threw up right before first period (amazingly!). Because she got busted skipping last week and is scared to death to get her car towed (thank you Mr. Assistant Principal [aka Mr. AP] - you have no idea how much I value you!), she decided to check out with the attendance office.
Well, the attendance office said she had to have a note from her A.P. They called the Mr. AP and he brought her right into his office and called me. Lo and behold, he believes she really is sick - she was sweating like crazy, so we agreed to let her go home. Of course, Mr. AP and I had lots of discussion. We made her go turn in her math homework and finish the in-class project, then she went home.
I told her she wasn't going to work or running around tonight when she miraculously gets better. She was very agitated by that bit of information. If you're too sick to stay in school, you're too sick to work or play.
No fun Friday for me, now is it?
God bless my daughter. I need to find a way to get in her head to see what she's thinking.

Goodness. I feel for you and your family. I hope it is a calmer weekend.
If you figure out HOW to get in her head you are going to be filthy rich! LOL
I hope she is feeling better. I'm sorry this is YOUR Friday! Ugh!
I've lived through 2 teenagers and believe me, they don't even know what's going on in their head. They don't come out of the fog until they're at least 20!
Take care and good luck tonight!
I totally agree with the "if you're too sick for school you're too sick for _________" My mom did that too me... including if you're too sick for school you're too sick for TV....
I always threatened mine with a trip to the doctors.
My stepkids thought they could get away with everything when I first came along. I shattered that dream. My stepdaughter had her dad wrapped around her tiny finger. But when something came up in our schedule that she didn't want to deal with she played sick. Unfortunately for her that meant NO play time, NO television, and NO toys. Period. It does mean however, staying in bed. Reading. Napping. And I do allow her to color with her pencils. But that's it. She rarely gets sick anymore when they come home to us. :)
OH! I forot to tell you! I loved your reply to my Chocolate post! That was really cool that you looked that up! I would love that website!
She'll get her Just Reward soon, I hope. I'd make her clean the house before she goes out again. But if she's REALLY sick...Don't forget tomorrow's Silly Sunday Sweepstakes...gotta good one for ya!
Be strong, Mom! Just remember...YOU"RE the MOM! And don't forget...we've got a Pop'rs Thanksgiving Extravaganza going on! Please come on by!
