Art Today

Created today... I am really liking the cartoonish girl on the far left (hard to see, really) and hoping more of her kind appear to me in the future.

Life is so-so right now. Miss Priss is pushing all my buttons and I am pushing all of hers. She, of course, is trying to be completely free and independent and has no idea what all that entails.

There are lessons flying about regarding respect and responsibility, which makes me mega-bitch. Why do I call her irresponsible just because she forgot all of her belonging at her friend's house? Why do I call her irresponsible because she left her laundry in the dryer for 2 days? Why am I always criticizing her - take your contacts out, brush your hair, keep your car clean, etc....?

Ugh... there are days when I want to open the front door and say, "Go!"

I don't mean it. I love her. But the thought has some gratifying feelings attached to it.

Oh, this reminds me so much of me and my youngest. We were always pushing each others buttons, I sometimes felt so helpless! You want to let her grow up, but can´t seem to shut up! :)
I´m sure it will get better when she´s back in school.

I love your artsy picture! You should make a blog with all of them for us to admire.

This, too, shall pass. I went round and round with both my girls-especially the youngest, who tends to have a huge attitudinal problema-but we're seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, I reckon. Of course, it does help a tad when they go off to college. Absence makes the heart grow fonder! PS: Love your newest piece! I got one of your masterpieces framed on the wall behind my computer. It's my inspiration!
